I feel that I have met the brief for this project satisfactorily. I believe that my strengths on the project were: my voice during the links is louder and therefore easier to understand, I also think that my script was acceptable for the objective. I believe that my weaknesses on the project were: the music selection as the music I chose was adequately recent at best, my show lacked some production techniques such as segues and audience participation, the show itself was also somewhat lacking in content (e.g. music bed). I feel that my work was serviceably suitable for its intended purpose and my target audience also. In comparison to professional radio, I feel that my radio show was unprofessional as it just wasn't as well put together as other professional radio shows.

I feel that I have met the brief for this project fairly well. I believe that my strengths on the project were: finding the music to play during the show as I am personally interested in the genre chosen; I believe that my script was satisfactory even if my reading of said script wasn’t as such. I believe that my weaknesses on the project were: my voice – it was not loud enough and I mumbled too often while reading the script. I was uncomfortable and you can tell that by listening to my voice in the show. I also feel that the content aside from the music was somewhat lacking (e.g. segues, links and audience participation). I believe that my work was suitably created for its intended purpose and I also believe that it is appropriate for my target audience. In comparison to professional radio however, I feel that it is fairly unprofessional due to my performance and lack of annunciation when reading the script I wrote.

Overview of the Projects (explain the project and what you have been asked to do): I have been asked to create two samper 'demo' tapes for brand new radio shows that will be aired on the CSC radio station. The demos need to be approximately 30 minutes long and need to have content of 70% music and 30% talking.

Skills, knowledge and experience required to complete the project: I will need to know: how to use the recording equipment, how to edit what I have recorded, the rules and regulations pertaining to making a radio show, the legal and ethical connotations of making a radio show etc.

Facilities (what production equipment / facilities will you need?): I will need: Recording equipment, computers, editing software etc.

Additional Materials Required: Task 2: Music Downloads, Jingles, Computer, Audition Task 4: Voice Recorder, Computer, Internet, Audition, Student News (from internet), Soundbites, Interviews, Local Newspapers, Music, Scripts

Contributors (who do you need to contribute to the project? eg. specialists, experts, talent , public etc): The public will need to contribute for the 'news section' of the radio show

Locations: Crawley town, Central Sussex College

Codes of Practice / Regulation (Discuss here the implications of the MCPS-PRS, Copyright, Ethics, OFCOM, Legal Considerations. I will need to adhere to the legal requirments and the ethical statures that are described by the OFCOM Regulators, Phonographic Performace Limited  and The Performing Rights Society.

Student Sequence Evaluation

I think my student music sequence went well because each of the tracks flowed easily and there were no large spaces of nothing happening. Also, none of the volume levels were too loud or to quiet, with no peaking throughout the sequence and it sounded professional in my opinion.
